Kaunas is not only the second largest city in Lithuania, but also its former temporary capital.
It is famous for the Kaunas reservoir, which is the largest body of water in Lithuania, Kaunas Castle, Church and Monastery of Pažaislis, House of Perkūnas and of course Žalgiris, one of the two strongest basketball teams in Lithuania. Kaunas is also known for its annual jazz festival, which attracts people from other cities of Lithuania and tourists from all over the world.
